Virtual Yin and Restorative Yoga!

We're excited to announce that our Yin and Restorative Yoga teacher, AnnMarie Mello-Morris, will be teaching virtual classes beginning Monday, May 18.

Yin and Restorative Yoga will take place weekly over Zoom on Mondays at 5pm.

We're very excited to add virtual Yin and Restorative Yoga to our schedule, which includes weekly Pilates and Core & More classes. If you're new to Zoom classes with us, take a look at the frequently asked questions on our website.

If you've been to yin and restorative yoga before, you know that props are used to make poses accessible and relaxing. You may not have a bolster, blocks, and other official yoga props at home so AnnMarie has made a little guide to help you use simple yoga props out of things you already have at home!

Here's what you need:

2 or more heavy hardcover books

2 towels

2 pillows (the thicker the better)

1 men's tie or belt or bathrobe sash

Optional: wash cloth or hand towel

Optional: tennis ball

These DIY at-home props can support you in yin poses...

In restorative yoga poses...

Resting in a supported bridge...

And gently stretching to your comfort level in yin poses.

Be sure to sign up for class at least 30 minutes in advance so that you can receive your Zoom link to class! If you already have a class pass with The Studio you are welcome to use that or use our special virtual class drop-in rate of $10/class. Learn more here.

See you soon!

Special thanks to Gregory, AnnMarie's son, for modeling these yoga poses!
